La commission des médias approuve des publications

La commission indépendante des médias de la Sierra Leone a examiné les soixante publications du pays et a approuvé la publication de 21 d'entre elles, a rapporté lundi le site Sierra Leone Expo Times, basé à Londres.

Il a cité un communiqué de la commission selon laquelle les publications approuvées ont encore l'obligation légale de formaliser leur statut auprès du contrôleur général et du département des impôts sur le revenu.

"L'approbation de ces publications est intervenue après un marathon d'entretiens, conduit par la commission des médias. Le point capital des entretiens était centré sur les structures du personnel, de l'équipement, du bureau et des salaires pour l'établissement du journal. Les qualifications universitaires et professionnelles des chefs de rédaction ont aussi été prise en considération', a précisé le site en ligne.

Les publications approuvés incluent Pool, Awoko, Frontline, Wisdom, African Champion, Herald Guardian, Democrat, Liberation, New Citizen, Policy, Salone Times, Independent Observer, Standard Times, Peep Magazine, For Di People et New Vision.
