Buyoya condamne les attentats perpétrés aux Etats-Unis

    NAIROBI
    A la suite des attentats perpétrés contre les deux tours du World Trade Center à New York et le Pentagone à Washington, le président burundais Pierre Buyoya a adressé lundi un message de condoléances au président américain, George W. Bush et aux citoyens américains. Dans un message lu mardi sur les ondes de Radio Burundi à Bujumbura, M. Buyoya a déclaré " en cette heure de terrible épreuve pour l'administration américaine et le peuple américain, nous joignons la voix du peuple burundais, celle de leur gouvernement et la mienne à celle de beaucoup d'autres pour offrir nos plus profondes condoléances et condamner avec force cette indescriptible barbarie. " M. Buyoya a également adressé ses condoléances à toutes les familles endeuillées.
