Une ONG basée en Guinée active à Kambia

ABC Développement, une ONG basée en Guinée, va construire un centre d'information communautaire et un centre d'alphabétisation des adultes dans le chef-lieu de Magbema, au nord-ouest de la Sierra Leone, d'après le Bureau de l'ONU de coordination des affaires humanitaires (BCAH/OCHA).

Dans son rapport de septembre sur la situation humanitaire, OCHA a indiqué qu'ABC Développement, qui a un programme de micro-crédit de près de 3 700 dollars, avait rapatrié 500 familles de cultivateurs des camps en Guinée au chef-lieu de Bramaia. Bramaia et Magbema se trouvent dans le district de Kambia, à la frontière avec la Guinée.

L'ONG a fourni aux familles de l'arachide et des graines de riz, a précisé OCHA en ajoutant que deux autres organisations non gouvernementales, American Refugee Committee et Sierra Grassroots Agency, avaient identifié cinquante autres bénéficiaires à Magbema pour un projet pilote de micro-crédit.
