« Ils nous frappent avec des chaînes » : La vie dans les centres de rétention libyens

    Après un périple long et périlleux à travers le désert du Sahara, menacés d’enlèvement et de violences par les passeurs, les migrants et demandeurs d’asile qui finissent par atteindre la Libye risquent de se faire arrêter et enfermer pour de longues périodes dans l’un des 20 centres de rétention officiels du pays. Ces centres sont surpeuplés et sous-financés.

    À l’extérieur du centre de rétention pour clandestins de Krareem, en périphérie de Misrata, 250 Érythréens et Somaliens sont assis en tailleurs dans le sable en attendant de monter dans un bus. Ils n’ont aucune idée de leur destination.
