Les fonctionnaires exigent une clause sur la corruption dans la constitution

Les fonctionnaires rwandais ont demandé lundi à la Commission constitutionnelle et juridique d'inclure dans la constitution des clauses explicites dénonçant le népotisme et les pratiques de corruption de l'élite politique, a rapporté l'Agence rwandaise d'information (ARI).

"Depuis que le Rwanda a obtenu son indépendance, il souffre d'un cancer monolithique confinant le pouvoir politique entre les mains d'une poignée d'individus," a dénoncé un haut responsable du gouvernement. Il a ajouté que les droits et les devoirs des hauts dignitaires du gouvernement devraient être clairement définis dans la nouvelle constitution afin de se protéger légalement de tout abus de pouvoir.
