De nombreux morts et des sans abris à Jos

Cinquante personnes au moins auraient été tuées et plusieurs milliers d'autres ont été forcées à abandonner leurs foyers lors de violences qui ont éclaté vendredi entre les musulmans Haoussa-Fulanis et les chrétiens à Jos, dans le centre du Nigeria, a rapporté la radio d'Etat.

Toutefois, les organes de presse ont informé, en citant la Croix Rouge, que 165 personnes avaient péri et 928 autres avaient été blessées. Le gouvernement fédéral a dépêché des soldats pour épauler la police, mais des sources locales et les médias ont rapporté ce lundi que la situation était retournée à la normale.
