Le marché central de Gitega rasé par un incendie

    Un incendie a fait rage dimanche sur le marché central de Gitega, causant des dégâts très importants, a rapporté Net Press ce lundi. L'incendie aurait débuté dans un restaurant mais des témoins ont réfuté cette théorie, qui selon eux, n'explique pas l'ampleur des dommages. "Il est incompréhensible qu'un marché d'environ quatre hectares, qui est en outre nivelé, a été totalement réduit en cendres par un incendie provenant d'un restaurant, " selon les propos d'un témoin. " Presque tous les étalages, y compris le matériel en métal (les conteneurs par exemple), ont été totalement détruits et les 10 pour cent qui sont restés intacts ont été entièrement pillés par le public," a-t-il ajouté.
