Augmentation des cas de choléra

    ABIDJAN
    Les cas de choléra au Tchad ont augmenté de près de 25 pour cent en six jours, selon des chiffres de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS). L'OMS a rapporté ce mercredi que le nombre de cas pour l'année en cours avait atteint 2 458 au 21 août, contre 1 960 au 15 août. Elle a informé que 88 personnes avaient péri de la maladie. Plus de 6 000 cas de choléra ont été enregistrés cette année au Bénin, au Tchad, en Côte d'Ivoire, au Ghana et au Togo, toujours selon l'OMS. Le ministère de la santé du Tchad, avec le soutien de l'OMS et de Médecins Sans Frontières, continue sa surveillance et ses activités d'éducation sanitaire, a conclu l'agence de l'ONU.
