Un ex-ministre envoyé en prison

    ABIDJAN
    Harry Octavarius Olympio, ancien ministre des droits de l'homme au Togo pendant 13 mois, a été condamné mardi à 18 mois de prison et à une amende équivalent à 480 dollars pour "fabrication et possession illicite d'armes de guerre", ont rapporté les médias. Le cas a été soulevé par le gouvernement après que la sécurité de l'Etat ait découvert en juin des stocks d'armes et des munitions au siège de son parti à Lomé. M. Olympio avait créé son propre parti, le Rassemblement pour le soutien de la démocratie et du développement, à la suite de son éviction du gouvernement en mai 2000.
