Un média condamné la prison à terme

L'organisation de protection des journalistes, Reporter sans Frontières (RSF), installée à Paris, a protesté auprès des autorités contre la condamnation à six mois de prison du directeur de publication du journal « Le Canard enchaîné » pour diffamation. Dans une lettre adressée vendredi au ministre de la justice Moussa Maty, RSF a incité le gouvernement à acquitter Abdoulaye Tiemogo comme un signe d'attachement à la liberté de la presse. M. Tiemogo, qui a été condamné vendredi, doit aussi payer une amende de 100 000 CFA (US $140) et 5 millions de CFA (us $ 7000) en dommages au ministre de l'agriculture, Wassalke Boukari. Selon le journal satirique, M. Boukari a détourné 200 millions de CFA (US $ 280 000) d'une mine d'or dans l'ouest du Niger.
