L'Institut d'éducation à distance de Kigali, au Rwanda, a reçu 3 millions de dollars du Département pour le développement international de la Grande-Bretagne, a révélé le
directeur de l'école, Innocent Byuma. Selon l'Agence rwandaise d'information
(ARI), il a indiqué que cette donation permettrait à l'institut de former 500
professeurs sur trois ans et d'acheter cinq véhicules. Le ministre rwandais
de l'éducation, Romain Murenzi, a déclaré que le gouvernement avait souligné l'importance de l'éducation comme un moyen de réduire la pauvreté dans une nation de 6,6 millions de personnes, a rapporté l'ARI.
