La police appréhende le chef d'une milice interdite, selon les médias

La police du Nigeria a appréhendé le chef de l'Oodua People's Congress (OPC), une organisation militante ethnique interdite, vingt mois après un mandat d'arrêt contre lui, a rapporté l'Agence France Presse (AFP), qui cite la police mercredi. Ganiyu Adams a été interpellé dans un barrage de police à Lagos, selon l'AFP qui cite des sources policières. L'OPC a été fondé pour protéger les intérêts du peuple Yoruba, l'une des principales ethnies du Nigeria. Il fut interdit en 1999, après des émeutes sanglantes ayant fait des centaines de morts.
