موقع واحد للحقائق حول تغير المناخ والغذاء

    في كل عام، يتم إهدار أو فقدان حوالي ثلث الغذاء المنتج للاستهلاك الآدمي على مستوى العالم، أو 1.3 مليار طن سنوياً، أي ما يعادل 6 إلى 10 بالمائة من انبعاثات الغازات الدفيئة التي ينتجها البشر. ويمكن العثور على هذه الحقيقية وغيرها من الحقائق حول الروابط بين الزراعة وتغير المناخ في مجموعة الحقائق الكبرى" التي أصدرها برنامج أبحاث الفريق الاستشاري للبحوث الزراعية الدولية حول تغير المناخ والزراعة والأمن الغذائي.

    وتعرض مجموعة الحقائق الأساسية الثلاثين- القائمة على بحوث علمية- رسوم بيانية وصور فوتوغرافية ملونة ميدانية. وتغطي الحقائق قضايا متنوعة من نقص التغذية والسكان إلى الغابات ومصايد الأسماك، حيث تدمج أحدث البحوث حول الموضوعات ذات الصلة. وسيساعد إصدار تلك الحقائق الصحفيين وغيرهم ممن يحتاجون إلى حقائق باستمرار في مباحثات اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ في الدوحة.
