يحتضن معهد أرافال للدراسات البيئية في إسرائيل برنامجاً تدريبياً لصناع القرار الآسيويين والأفارقة حول أفضل الطرق لمواجهة مشكلة التصحر.
ويتلقى المشاركون في هذا البرنامج تدريباً على كيفية عكس آثار تدهور التربة، ويتعرفون على الاستراتيجيات الهيدرولوجية وعلى أنواع النباتات الصحراوية الأصلية أو التي تم تكييفها مع الصحراء والتي من شأنها أن تعزز الأمن الغذائي والفرص الاقتصادية. ويستمر التدريب خلال الفترة من 22 حتى 30 مارس/آذار.
