Namibia’s former liberation war veterans on Friday accepted a government pension pay out they had previously rejected, ‘The Namibian’ daily reported.
The government’s pension payment of around US $70 a month would be backdated to April. The veterans, many of them disabled, had been camped out in a military base since June after being prevented from meeting President Sam Nujoma to present their case.
