Séminaire de trois jours sur le droit humanitaire

Le Comité international de la Croix-Rouge a annoncé vendredi qu'il organisera un séminaire de trois jours sur le droit international, qui sera axé sur la protection des civils dans les conflits armés en Afrique. Le séminaire, qui débute lundi, aura lieu à Niamey, au Niger.

Participeront au séminaire des représentants de la société civile et des spécialistes du droit international. L'accent sera mis sur les parlementaires africains auxquels le CICR espère inculquer des concepts du droits humanitaire international. Les stratégies visant à le promouvoir dans leurs parlements respectifs seront aussi examinées.

Le séminaire est organisé en collaboration avec l'Union interparlementaire africaine, le Canada, la Norvège et la Suisse, a conclu le CICR.
