Cooperation with Tunisia on catastrophes

Tunisia and Mali are to cooperate in the area of civil protection and security under agreements signed on Friday in Tunis by representatives of the two countries, Tunisian radio reported.

Under one agreement, the two interior ministries will participate in security and public order issues, including crime-fighting and training, the radio station reported. The second accord concerns bilateral cooperation in civil protection. It covers issues such as protecting people against and dealing with catastrophes, exchanging expertise and experiences, and the organisation of general and specialist courses for civil protection employees in Mali.
