New attack reported

    NAIROBI
    Liberian officials say armed men attacked northern Nimba County on Tuesday in the latest of several reported cross-border incursions. The assailants entered Liberia near the town of Doulay, Jeff Mutada, an assistant public affairs officer at Liberia’s Information Ministry, told IRIN on Wednesday. Nimba County lies between Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea. It is unclear which border the attackers crossed, Mutada said. In recent months, Liberia has reported several attacks by fighters based in Guinea. The two countries have long traded accusations about harbouring dissidents.
