Whites urged to work with government on land issue

The main opposition leader in Namibia has advised whites to open their hearts and work with their black counterparts in order to resolve the land issue, news reports said on Monday. The leader of the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance, Katuutire Kaura, was quoted as saying that whites in Namibia should avoid the same mistakes made by whites in Zimbabwe. Kaura said the situation in Namibia was similar to that of Zimbabwe with most of the commercial farming land belonging mainly to whites. He said all stakeholders must collectively find a solution to the land issue in Namibia.
