Two Angolan coastal cities are virtually cut off from the rest of the country because of fighting between the UNITA rebel movement and government forces.
According to the independent 'Radio Ecclesia', UNITA rebels reportedly blew up two bridges on roads that link the cities of Benguela and Lobito. The report said that UNITA had also staged a number of ambushes along the roads. Road links from Benguela and Lobito to Lubango in the southern Huila province have also been affected.
