إسرائيل ترسل عجولا إلى غزة في 'لفتة إنسانية'

    قبلت وزارة الدفاع الإسرائيلية طلب وزير الزراعة شالوم سمحون بإرسال 7,500 عجل إلى قطاع غزة من أجل عيد الأضحى الذي يوافق هذه السنة 27 من شهر نوفمبر الحالي. ويقوم المسلمون خلال هذا العيد بالتقرب إلى الله عن طريق التضحية برأس من الماشية وتوزيع لحم الأضحية على الفقراء.

    ووصف سمحون هذا التحرك بكونه "لفتة إنسانية"، مشيرا إلى أنه "سيمكن من ناحية أخرى من وقف عمليات تهريب الماشية من مصر إلى غزة، خصوصا وأنها قد تكون مصابة بأمراض يمكن أن تنتقل إلى القطعان الإسرائيلية".

    وتعتبر وزارة الدفاع الإسرائيلية لحوم البقر نوعاً من الترف، وبالتالي لا تسمح بدخولها إلى قطاع غزة على نحو منتظم في ظل العقوبات التي فرضتها إسرائيل على القطاع. وقد قام مربو الأبقار الإسرائيليون الذين سيستفيدون ماديا من إرسال العجول إلى القطاع بالضغط على الحكومة الإسرائيلية للسماح بذلك.

    و كانت منظمة (غيشا) غير الحكومية، وهي عبارة عن مركز للدفاع عن حرية الحركة، قد تقدمت بالتماس في إطار قانون حرية المعلومات، مدعية أن انعدام الرقابة العامة يثير تساؤلات حول مخالفات نقل البضائع الى قطاع غزة. وقد تم تقديم الالتماس بعد ستة أشهر من المحاولات للحصول على المعلومات المتعلقة بدخول المواد الغذائية والبضائع الى قطاع غزة.
