أدت الفيضانات الناتجة عن الأمطار الغزيرة إلى مقتل 19 شخصا وتدمير مئات المنازل في أنحاء متفرقة من أفغانستان خلال الأسبوعين الماضيين، حسب تصريح الهيئة القومية لإدارة الكوارث بأفغانستان في 15 أبريل/نيسان.
وحذر المسؤولون المحليون بإقليمي باداخشان (شمال شرق البلاد) ودايكوندي (وسط البلاد) من نقص المواد الغذائية والمياه النظيفة وخطر انتشار الأمراض في المناطق المتأثرة بالفيضانات.
