Peacekeepers for DRC

    JOHANNESBURG
    South African President Thabo Mbeki said on Wednesday that South African troops would be sent to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as peacekeepers once a ceasefire agreement is reached. “We’ll have to send some South Africans to help in the peacemaking process,” Mbeki told Parliament in Cape Town. He expressed confidence that the DRC peace talks in Lusaka would be successful.
