Residents are slowly returning to Kolahun in Lofa County, but rebuilding the war-damaged town is a huge task.
Prices of tobacco, a mainstay of the Zimbabwe economy, have increased 8.13 percent since auctions started last month, Reuters reported. It said prices for flue-cured leaf rose from US $1.23 per kilo on 21 April to US $1.33 on Monday, and that in two weeks of selling farmers had earned US $16.36 million against US $13.69 million the same time last year.
