UN humanitarian office helps return displaced people

    NAIROBI

    With the assistance of the DRC government and the UN mission in the DRC (MONUC), OCHA-Kinshasa has started a programme to return internally displaced individuals and families to their homes in Kinshasa and Orientale provinces, OCHA reported. It said an increase in such efforts was foreseen for the near future. In a separate operation, again with the assistance of MONUC, OCHA helped the DRC ministry of education to distribute annual state exams to students throughout the country.
