HIV/AIDS a security issue - Clinton

    Affecting more people globally than terrorism, HIV/AIDS should be considered a security issue, Former US President Bill Clinton has said.

    The former president did however urge people not think about one to the exclusion of the other.

    Reuters quoted Clinton as saying: "We should continue to fight terror, but we have to realise that the HIV/AIDS issue is also a security issue."

    Clinton made the statement during a recent visit to Norway where was seeking support for his campaign against HIV/AIDS.

    The Clinton Foundation is currently heading work to slash the cost of HIV/AIDS treatment in Africa and the Caribbean.
