200 refugees return from DRC

    NAIROBI

    RNA on Thursday reported that 200 Rwandan refugees voluntarily returned home from the Democratic Republic of Congo, barely a week after President Paul Kagame had urged refugees to do so. "The repatriation exercise has been going on for the last six months, but the number was small compared to those repatriated today," Jean- Baptiste Muhirwa, the prefect of
    Gisenyi told RNA. The refugees are being accommodated at the Nkamira transit camp, where relief services are given to them, before being taken to their communes of origin.
