Flood victims return home

Flood displaced residents of the southern Mozambican province of Gaza can now begin to safely return home, the provincial authorities said.

Flood waters have receded and no more rain is expected, the Associated Press reported Gaza Governor Eugenio Numaio as saying on Wednesday. The local government is to help with building materials and logistics. But Numaio advised people in some low-lying areas to move to higher ground to avoid future flood disasters.
