Rising food prices in Zimbabwe have brought inflation to a record 69.7 percent last month, media reports said on Wednesday. Zimbabwean economists were quoted as saying that the recent fuel and power increases could push this figure up even further.
“Let’s not forget that there is still pressure for further price increases, especially coming from the quarterly increases for electricity,” one economist was quoted as saying.
