Implementation of the Lome peace accord

A UNOMSIL spokesperson told IRIN on Wednesday that the Ministry of Information, Communication, Tourism and Culture was working closely with other concerned ministries and institutions to mobilise resources for a nationwide campaign to explain the peace agreement and to educate the people on national reconciliation. During his address to parliament the day after the Lome peace accord was signed President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah said he would make "nationwide tours" as part of the process of sensitising the population to the contents of the Lome peace pact.
