Britain is to provide the equivalent of US $1.6 million to assist the displaced in Ruhengeri. The funds are to be shared among three NGOs working in the region: Concern Worldwide, Christian Aid and World Vision. “Many people who have been away from their fields for some months and are still living in the camps are in great need,” British Ambassador Graeme Loten said in a press release.
