A further US $1 million for flood victims

The European Commission has approved just under US $1 million to provide assistance for the completion of the resettlement of an estimated 18,850 families, a statement from the commission said this week.

It said the aid would be channelled via the Humanitarian Aid Office of the European Commission (ECHO) and would allow non-governmental organisations to carry out projects on food security, water and sanitation and shelter in Gaza, Inhambane and Sofala provinces in southern Mozambique.
