European AIDS millions for Western Cape

South Africa's Western Cape Province has received a pledge of US $4.5 million from a European charity organisation to tackle HIV/AIDS. The organisation, Absolute Return for Kids (ARK), specifically requested that children benefit from the donation. ARK chairman Arpad Busson said his organisation would also assist the government with the implementation of its national HIV/AIDS treatment plan. He was quoted by a local news service, BuaNews as saying: "We will do everything possible to extend it, make it stronger, and reach all the different milestones together."
