Government releases AIDS case study

    JOHANNESBURG

    South Africa has released a case study on the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, local news service BuaNews reported on Friday.

    The department of social development said research covered both rural and urban HIV/AIDS programmes, as well as small- to medium-sized organisations.

    Social development minister, Zola Skweyiya, said "These important case studies will go a long way in enhancing the efforts of government and the department of social development in mitigating the socio-economic impact of HIV/AIDS and poverty."

    Skweyiya added that the studies would also help enhance the government's efforts in the treatment and prevention of the pandemic.
