Zambia urges Italy's help on HIV/AIDS

    Zambian Vice-President Enoch Kavindele is hopeful that Italian investors will back the local manufacture of HIV/AIDS drugs, local newspaper The Post reported on Monday. Kavindele is presently negotiating with government officials at a conference in Rome. "The meeting is a follow-up to an earlier one between Italian entrepreneurs and African pharmaceuticals practitioners," Kavindele said. He said the meeting aimed to encourage Italian firms to focus on Zambia's HIV/AIDS education and treatment.
