OCHA flood update

OCHA’s latest situation report on Mozambique noted that the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office compiled and submitted the Final Flood Report that captures major challenges faced and activities carried out by civil society in Mozambique, during the flood emergency. The report said that the focus has shifted from the emergency relief operations towards resettlement and more rehabilitation/development activities. A flood reconstruction conference would be convened by the government of Mozambique on 12 and 13 July in Maputo, the report noted. The conference aims to bridge flood relief operations with longer-term development and macro-economic prospects. The report is available on the OCHA Internet Website http://www.reliefweb.int.
