Non-stop commercial air service to US inaugurated

    LAGOS
    Liberian President Charles Taylor inaugurated on Wednesday the first non-stop commercial air service between Liberia and the United States at the Roberts International Airport, 60 km from Monrovia. The airport was badly damaged during Liberia’s seven-year civil war and Taylor commended Taiwan for its support to the Liberian government to upgrade it to international aviation standards.
