    في الأيام القليلة الماضية، نظم اليهود الإثيوبيون وأنصارهم في إسرائيل احتجاجات ضد وحشية وعنصرية الشرطة. واندلعت الاحتجاجات بسبب مقطع فيديو (أنظر أدناه) يبين ضباط شرطة إسرائيليين يعتدون على جندي إثيوبي إسرائيلي يرتدي زيه الرسمي. وتحولت مظاهرة في تل أبيب الى أعمال عنف مساء الأحد، مما جعل الشرطة تطلق قنابل صوت وتستخدم خراطيم المياه. وقد التقى رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو يوم الإثنين بزعماء الجالية الإثيوبية والجندي الذي تم الاعتداء عليه بالضرب.
