مفوضية الأمم المتحدة للاجئين تشعر بالقلق إزاء تقارير عن ترحيل الروهينجا

    BANGKOK

    عبرت المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين عن قلقها إزاء تقارير تفيد بترحيل 70 شخصاً من مجموعة الروهينجا العرقية من تايلاند إلى ميانمار.

    وفي هذا السياق، قالت فيفيان تان، الناطقة باسم المفوضية لشبكة الأنباء الإنسانية (إيرين) يوم 4 يناير: "نحن مستمرون في طلب الوصول إلى هذه المجموعة إذا كانت ما تزال على الأراضي التايلاندية ... لكننا ببساطة لا نعرف الآن [إن كانت موجودة أم لا]".

    وجاء تعليق تان في أعقاب تقارير إعلامية تفيد بأن سلطات الهجرة التايلاندية قامت بترحيل 73 طالب لجوء من الروهينجا إلى ميانمار، من بينهم أكثر من عشرة أطفال بعد أن اعترضت قاربهم في المياه التايلاندية في الأول من يناير أثناء توجهه إلى ماليزيا.

    وفي 3 يناير، دعت منظمة هيومن رايتس ووتش تايلاند لوقف خطط الترحيل والسماح للمفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين بمعالجة هذه القضية. وقال براد آدامز، مدير قسم آسيا في منظمة هيومن رايتس ووتش أن "على الحكومة التايلاندية إلغاء سياستها اللاإنسانية المتمثلة بترحيل الروهينجا الذين تعرضوا للاضطهاد بطريقة وحشية في بورما واحترام حقهم في التماس اللجوء".
