UNITA collaborators arrested

The independent Catholic broadcast station, ‘Radio Ecclesia’ reported on Wednesday that about 30 people were arrested by the Angolan national police and accused of passing on military information to the UNITA rebel movement. It said that a public prosecutor and several civil servants were among those arrested. It added that the group had allegedly held secret meetings with UNITA and their aim was to infiltrate the northern city of Uige and plant bombs in certain economic targets.
