Authorities exchange suspected criminals

    ABIDJAN

    Ghana and its eastern neighbour Togo exchanged seven suspected criminals on Tuesday under the terms of a regional cooperation agreement both countries signed with Benin and Nigeria in 1984, PANA reported.

    Togolese police handed over three men, two of whom were wanted “for
    acts of violence and gouging out the eyes of a relative”, and another wanted
    for allegedly stealing US $30,000.
    Ghana, on its part, handed over four suspects wanted for attacking a house in a suburb of the Togolese capital, Lome, in 1999.
