US aids schools, health centres

    ABIDJAN

    The US Embassy in Senegal has donated equipment worth about US $60,000 to some 16 health centres and schools in the towns of Saint-Louis, Thies, Ziguinchor and the capital Dakar, ‘Sud Quotidien’ reported on Thursday. The textbooks, school desks, beds and closets were donated under the military affairs bureau’s humanitarian programme attached to the embassy, the daily newspaper reported.
