Army chief sets up headquarters in the west

    NAIROBI

    Meanwhile, Uganda’s army chief of staff, Brigadier James Kazini, has set up his tactical headquarters in the jungles of the Ruwenzori mountains in Kasese District. ‘The New Vision’ quoted a source close to him as saying at the weekend that Kazini had located his command base in the jungles to command operations against the ADF rebels. Kazini was recently redeployed by the president to the western region to oversee the 2nd Division with its headquarters in Mbarara.
