Representatives of indigenous communities, also known as Pygmies, say they continue to be marginalised despite government efforts to provide public services for all citizens
The last cabinet director in the late DRC president Mobutu Sese Seko’s government, Vunduawe te Pemako, returned to the country after three years’ exile, Reuters reported on Tuesday. He told journalists that the Congolese people should support the incumbent president, Laurent-Desire Kabila, in order to end war in the country. “One can think good or bad of him [Kabila], but we respect him, he is our chief. Later we will have the chance to go to elections,” he said. “First, let us gather around him for the unity of the country.”
