ZANU-PF tells war vets to stop disrupting farming

    LAGOS

    “We are appealing to both the war veterans and our members, who include war veterans and peasants, not to disrupt farming activities,” ZANU-PF spokesman Nathan Shamuyarira was quoted as saying. He said that ZANU-PF was concerned about the prospect of a widespread shut down of commercial farms. “We want farmers to continue production and we are urging our followers and our members not to disrupt operations.”

    Shamuyarira said he did not fear a disruption of food supplies because “both the farmers and the war veterans, and the population will take heed of the appeal”.
