Immunisation programme

Kaduna State in northern Nigeria is expected to launch its latest child immunisation round on Wednesday, ‘This Day’ daily reported. Children under the age of five years will receive immunisation against tuberculosis, tetanus, yellow fever, measles, diphtheria and whooping cough under the state’s Multi-Antigen Campaign which is to run until 31 August. Some 2,870 immunisation and health centres have been selected for the event which falls under Nigeria’s National Programme on Immunisation, the Lagos daily reported. The immunisation round is expected to cost about US $1.12 million.
