Grenade blast injures 10 in bar

    NAIROBI

    Some 10 people sustained injuries after a grenade was thrown into a bar on Thursday evening in the Bwiza district of Bujumbura, AFP reported. The agency quoted local residents as saying it was an act of “revenge” and had no connection with Burundi’s civil war. “It was a settling of scores with a group of youths involved in a dispute with someone who visits the bistro,” AFP quoted one of those slightly wounded as saying. A pregnant woman was among the three people seriously injured in the blast.
