Final peace accord possibly by October - Buyoya

    NAIROBI

    President Pierre Buyoya has said the final version of a peace agreement may be signed in September or October, the Agence burundaise de presse (ABP) reported. He had earlier predicted a draft accord could be in place by June. “The process is progressing normally and positively and an agreement may be signed in September or October,” Buyoya told students of the Institute of Military Cadres (ISCAM). “We are carrying out technical preparations for the signing of the accord.”
