The United States this week wrote off US $32 million of Zambia’s debt, while also rescheduling another US $33 million, the government-owned ‘Times of Zambia’ reported.
The agreement, said the report, was signed by the US ambassador to Zambia, David Dunn and Zambia’s Economic and Development Minister, Katele Kalumba. “The agreement we have signed consolidates about US $65 million of Zambia’s debt to the US,” Kalumba said.
