Portugal aids health sector

    JOHANNESBURG
    Portugal will give Mozambique an estimated US $12 million to improve its health care sector, media reports said on Friday. Portuguese Health Minister Maria Belem Roseira was quoted as saying that the money would be used in the southern provinces of Maputo and Gaza, and Nampula in the north of the country. Aurelio Zilhao, the Mozambican health minister, said that nursing was a priority in his country, particularly the training of midwives.
